One of Audrey Jeanne's favorite things to do when playing with her graphic design creative side is to pick out bits and pieces of old master's classic paintings and re-envision them for a modern world. The original artwork ths was taken from was Painted in oils on canvas by Martin Johnson Heade (1819-1904) and entitled "Two Hummingbirds Above a white Orchid" this was painted some time in the 1870s. Audrey Jeanne loves the patina of age, worn textures and distressed elements and the old world elegance that stands apart. This Cattleya Orchid has such presence standing alone against a deep chocolate brown subtle patterned backdrop. Part of a series of small images that coordinate.
