Artist's Description
Some of Audrey Jeanne's earliest memories were of going to the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park with her grandmother and riding on the antique carousel just outside the gates. The other spectacular event was the few times the Circus came to town. Combining vintage circus posters and modern watercolor artwork this poster is a modern compilation for contemporary decor. This one is a regal "Carousel Giraffe" with red and green tasseled saddle cloth and a Carousel Sign that says, "Carousel Rides 5 cents." A top border has 6 Carousel animals and the ride sign, placed against a worn, crackle finish background with mixed with vintage printer's decorative ornament etched elements for a modern design. This artwork captures the grandeur of the circus parade venue. Perfect to use as decor to set the theme of a new baby's nursery, young child's room or any room where imagination and magic are the theme. Hand painted in watercolors and completed as an image using graphic mixed media elements....
