This artwork was painted from life in Audrey Jeanne's mountainside garden where hummingbirds are so plentiful that she can stand still right next to the feeder an capture them in photographs a foot away! She feeds 100 hummingbirds during the summer months and has seen a few of them hanging around in the winter snow. This garden is a riot of color with tall spires of blue and purple delphinium, red and yellow Peruvian Lilies, small spires of purple salvia and a wide mix of wild flowers in a English cottage garden style.
